Word box

If you are a fan of word games or crossword puzzles, WordBox is for you!

Sponsored: I am addicted to word games and puzzles. When these two genres intersect, it’s bound to be a hit (at least for me). When I started playing Word boxI knew right away that it was going to be one of those games.

The concept of Word box it’s pretty simple. Put adjacent letters together to make words to earn points (coins). You can see the strong inspiration here if you are familiar with Boggle or word search puzzles. What makes Word box like a puzzle, though, it’s how you move from level to level. To complete a puzzle, you must use each letter exactly once to make words (with a minimum of three letters). Sometimes, this means making a few short words; other times, it means stringing a word together that goes around and around the board.

best of all, Word box it can be completely free (with the occasional ad). In-app purchases can remove ads or buy extra coins (which are used to reveal hints), but knowing that the game can be completely free to play makes it an excellent option for anyone who enjoys a fun word game.

Price: Free (with in-app purchases to remove ads and buy in-game currency)

true caller

Truecaller record call
The latest version of Truecallers allows you to quickly record a call on your phone in just a few taps.

I get a fair amount of spam calls every week (although some weeks are much worse than others). Assuming you haven’t been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard of Truecaller as one of the most popular apps for reducing spam. Recently, they have released a new feature to add even more features to their app.

With the latest version of Truecaller, you not only get their spam identification and blocking technology, but now you can also record and transcribe calls directly from your device. By simply 3-way calling a unique Truecaller number, the entire call is recorded. After the call ends, you will receive a notification that the call is ready and you can listen to it again. This can be extremely useful for reviewing business calls or to avoid having to take notes during a call.

Perhaps the best part of their call recording feature is the use of artificial intelligence and large language models to generate searchable transcripts. This makes it quick and easy to review a past call to find a phone number or address, or simply get a specific detail out of a long conversation. Best of all, Truecaller does it all by keeping those annoying spam calls at bay.

Calorie

App to track breakfast calories
Adding food to your daily diary and keeping up with your calorie burn with Calory is truly delicious.

A long time ago, I was obsessive about tracking my calorie burn. I meticulously tracked everything I ate and every calorie I burned, trying to make sure I was on the right side of the equation for staying fit. Over time, nearly every good calorie-tracking app has become bloated with tips, ads, friends and social updates, and other excessive features. Then I discovered Calorie.

With Calory, you get a simple and visually appealing calorie tracking app. Using Calory is super easy too. Either hit the big plus to log a set number of calories, or add foods to each meal using their food database. As you log the things you eat, Calory displays your day’s calorie burn with a simple and playful visual indicator. Calory makes it incredibly easy to see how much (or how little) you have left in your daily calorie burn.

Another great feature (especially for the summer months) is the water log. While there’s some debate about how much water you should drink in a day, having an easy way to track your daily water intake can help you make sure you’re drinking enough on an intensely hot day.

Price: Free (with in-app subscription or purchase for Calorie Food Database)
